Audio Cables
Transparent
Cables are the world's finest. Use them to link the components in your first
stereo system or to wire up a complete recording facility - as many
Grammy-winning professionals have done. In most of our performance levels,
you will find interconnects in single-ended (RCA) and balanced (XLR)
configurations to complement the widest variety of equipment, and speaker
cables terminated with a choice of spade lugs or bananas. Your dealer will
be happy to discuss custom terminations with you, should you require
anything outside of our standard offerings.
Housed within those distinctive "black boxes" on our audio cables are
special passive electrical networks that reject noise. Noise at any point in
the signal chain inhibits the ability of your music or film system to reveal
all the subtle nuances of texture, tone, color, body, dimension, and
contrast that are encoded in your favorite music and film program materials.
These subtle nuances are the critical elements that help us to suspend our
belief that we are only listening to or viewing electronic signals. They are
the critical elements that bring our listening and viewing experiences to
life.
Custom Configured:
Transparent Cables are the only audio cables in the world whose networks are
custom configured for each specific cable length, ensuring the optimum in
noise reduction and musical fidelity. The special Transparent networks allow
us to optimize the performance of every length, so all of our cables are the
"ideal" length.
Reference XL Single-Ended Interconnect

Phono Interconnect
Using all that we learned in developing our Reference XL cables, we set
about to make the finest phono interconnect ever created. We designed a
precision network to protect the delicate phono signal from external noise,
and optimize the transfer of the analog signal. Each cable is hand assembled
and calibrated in a multistage process that ensures optimum performance,
regardless of the length. As with all our Reference and Reference XL cables,
only our most experienced cable builders are trained to assemble cables to
these exacting standards. If you love records, this is the cable for your
turntable.
All of us at Transparent Audio enjoy listening to LP's for their unique
naturalness and ease. In fact, records figure largely in the listening
laboratory when we're designing and evaluating our products. Transparent
Phono Interconnects are terminated with high quality, gold plated RCAs at
both ends, but we can make XLR, Fischer or other custom terminations to fit
your phono preamplifier or tonearm. If your tonearm has DIN outputs, use our
DIN-to-RCA Wiring Harness with a Transparent Phono Interconnect.

Digital Cables
Transparent has
extensively examined the issues involved in the accurate transmission of
digital signals through cabling. After years of research, experimentation
with materials, shielding and grounding schemes, and consultation with
digital experts, we build a select range of digital cable, based on three
different performance levels.
We have experimented with many different cable configurations, including
using the filter networks that are so strongly identified with Transparent
Cable. Since passive networks on digital cables always affect bandwidth and
therefore rise time of a digital signal -- resulting in distortion -- we do
not use networks on our digital cables. This is in sharp contrast to our
analog interconnect and speaker cabling, where we actually limit the cable's
bandwidth via passive networks.
Characteristics:
The purpose of our low pass filter technology in the analog audio cables is
to keep noise out of the audio signal; whereas, in digital signal
transmission, our goal is to transmit the very signals we are trying to
avoid in analog transmission and, at the same time, to avoid pollution of
the digital signals by external noise. To meet these goals, cables must
include the following characteristics:
• The conductor must be the highest quality available solid core, with a
very smooth surface for minimum skin effect distortion.
• The cable must have as little capacitance and inductance as possible.
• The characteristic impedance of the cable must be as close as possible to
the impedance of the digital operating system.
• The dielectric (insulating) materials must store and release energy
uniformly.
• The cable must be extremely well shielded to prevent noise pollution from
sources outside of the digital system.
• Ground references must avoid infiltration of analog noise.
Reference

Series 52 HDMI & DVI Cables
Wireworld Series
52 HDMI and DVI cables are the first flat digital video cables in the world.
Their revolutionary design is only .15” (4mm) thin and .7” (18mm) wide. In
addition to the obvious advantages of superior flexibility and easier
concealment, this design provides dramatically improved performance,
including the ability to deliver 1080p signals over 50 feet (15 meters)
without using an amplifier or repeater. Series 52 HDMI/DVI cables are also
rated UL-CL3 and CSA-FT 4 for in-wall installations.
All round HDMI and DVI cables are essentially the same design that has been
used in computer cables for decades. This conventional design introduces
signal loss, crosstalk and timing errors that limit a cable’s ability to
keep up with the extreme demands of digital video signals. Wireworld’s
proprietary flat design eliminates the timing errors caused by the conductor
length differentials in round cables.
The cables also feature unique composite shields,
which are more conductive, yet more compact than the shields in round HDMI
and DVI cables. Signal integrity in the Series 52 cables is further
maintained by the use of die-cast zinc connectors, which provide high
durability and superior shielding. These connectors also house the
proprietary cable terminations, which maintain the cable’s precise 100-ohm
impedance all the way to the plug contacts. The contacts are clad with a
thick layer of silver, rather than the standard nickel, under their gold
plating to reduce the contact loss by more than half.

Multiple Grades:
The signal conductors in Silver Starlight 52 are made of the finest material
utilized in any digital video cable, silver-clad OCC (Ohno Continuous Cast)
copper of 6N (>99.9999%) purity. Starlight 52 and Ultraviolet 52 have
silver-clad OFC conductors, but Starlight’s conductors contain more silver
for increased efficiency. Chroma 52 has OFC conductors and molded
connectors. The superior design of these cables produces the cleanest and
sharpest images available at each price level. Series 52 HDMI and DVI cables
provide amazing improvements in the definition, depth and contrast of
digital video images.
